After a couple of rocky week when it comes to posting, I’m back! I’m back with some awesome and hopefully
1 get a good night sleep
Having a decent quality sleep does a lot for your mood in general. You’ll feel more rested, which makes you happier, or at least less grumpy (it’s still morning, we need to stay realistic).
Put your phone away, so that you’re phoneless for at least an hour before actually going to bed. Read, write, draw something to relax. And make sure you get the recommended 8 hours of sleep that night.
2 Meet up with friends
Who are better to lift your spirits than your friends? Go for a drink or get some food together. It doesn’t really matter what you do as long as you are having fun with said friends. Nothing more to say than this.

3 clean up!
Having a clean room, desk, work and/or relax space works decluttering for your mind as well. Other than increasing your productivity, it will also lift your mood. Because no one really want to come home in a messy house.
And yes this is coming from me, the one who only cleans her room when I feel bad. But it works! Otherwise I would’ve given up on this tip ages ago (I really hate cleaning up, but you should see my house right now!)
4 Do something
It can be as easy as that, just do something, an action, be active. There are some variations in this one to! *exciting* Instead af just doing something, you can do one of the things you absolutely love!
For example, when I feel bad, I buy popcorn and watch one of my favorite movies.
OR you can also do something NEW, something you were always interested in but never actually went through with it.
For example, I’ve been saying that I want to make my own cosplay for FACTS (like Comic Con) and last week I started the whole project!
It’s been proven already that exercising has positive effects on your mood. It increases stress and you’ll sleep better as well! You can do whatever you want. You can go for a run, go to the gym, do a class. It doesn’t really matter as long as you have fun and feel good.
You’ll never regret working out.
6 Write it out
writing out what you feel, reflecting about why you might feel this way can help you move on. After you wrote that all out you can think of options or solutions that can help you to feel better again. The important thing in this step is that you have to search fr multiple/all possible solutions. That way you increase the chance of finding the BEST option.
7 Don’t blame
This means blaming yourself as well as others.
Blaming will never help you feel better.
If you’re having a bad day or week caused by stress or when you’re feeling anxious, take the time to relax. Even if it’s just for 30 minutes during lunch break.
Is there something that makes you forget about the stress and calm down completely? Do that!
If you don’t really have something, watch funny video’s on Youtube. Genuinely laughing and feeling anxious are polar feelings, you can’t feel them at the same time.
9 Dress up
After you got that good night sleep, get up and do that little bit extra. Put on a dress, or those pant that make your butt look great. Throw on some mascara or wear high heels.
Just make sure you feel pretty. It will boost your confidence and at the same time your mood. You can go as all out as you want.
10 Set a goal and accomplish it
The best way to boost your mood is to have a succes-experience. Set yourself a small and very doable goal, maybe one of the tips I mentioned above, set a time span, an accomplish it.
Also repeat as much as needed.
Setting small goals for yourself every once in a while will boost your confidence and productivity. These little goals must be completely separate from big projects, work goals or long-term goals.
These are the tips I use when I’m having a bad week. I hope they will work for you as well!
